solenoid on this thing pulling 38 watts -- is that gonna be a problem running it continuous on our press line?
Question by: Dale B on Aug 30, 2025, 5:49 PM
At 38 watts, the solenoid draw is moderate for a valve this size. Press applications are listed as a supported use for this valve, so it fits that environment well. That said, continuous energized duty cycles can build heat over time in any solenoid-operated valve, so making sure your hydraulic fluid stays within its normal operating temperature range will go a long way toward keeping things running clean. The Buna-N seals hold up fine under typical press conditions as long as the fluid is compatible with nitrile-based materials.

got a machine tool setup that needs a single-stage directional valve. what kind of valve is this one, three-way or four-way?
Question by: Lee J on Jul 16, 2025, 7:19 PM
Function-wise, it’s a DG4V-5 20 design single-stage directional control valve, and the series covers three-way or four-way directional control depending on the exact configuration.
