flow rate on this thing is listed at 454 litres per minute -- is that enough for most industrial hydraulic setups or is it on the smaller side?

For a good chunk of industrial hydraulic applications, 454 litres per minute is a solid capacity. That puts it well into the range used for medium to large industrial circuits where pressure regulation is the main job. If your system runs close to or under that threshold, you're in good shape with this valve.
