Product Questions & Answers

What kind of environments is this valve gonna hold up in? I work at a foundry.
Question by: Earl B on Mar 7, 2026, 4:38 PM
This directional control valve is well-suited for die casting and foundry work, along with machine tool and marine/offshore applications. It's also used in primary metal processing, paper production, and turbine control.

Got a machine tool setup that runs pretty hard most of the day. This valve rated for that kind of continuous duty, or is 30 watts gonna be a problem over long shifts?
Question by: Curt G on Sep 23, 2025, 6:26 PM
At 30 watts, the power draw on this valve is relatively modest, which works in its favor for sustained operation. Machine tool applications are actually listed as one of the intended uses, so it was built with that kind of environment in mind. That said, heat management in your overall hydraulic circuit matters more than the valve wattage alone when you're running long shifts, so make sure your system is sized to handle continuous flow up to the 80 liter per minute rating without overheating elsewhere in the loop.
