flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 litres per minute -- is that enough for a high-cycle press application or should I be lookin at something bigger?

For most press circuits, 80 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. The DG4V-3 platform this valve belongs to was built with exactly that kind of environment in mind. High-cycle press use are listed right in the application range for this series, so you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't meant for. Whether that flow ceiling fits your specific circuit depends on what your actuator demands at peak, but the valve itself isn't going to be the weak link in a typical press setup.
