The flow rate on this VICKERS-F3-DG5V-8-S-6A-T-M-U-B-10 directional control valve is 700 liters per minute.

Flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough for press and die casting work, or is it more suited to lighter duty applications?

For press and die casting use, 700 liters per minute is a substantial flow capacity. Those are actually two of the named application types this valve is built for, along with foundry work and primary metal manufacturing. So you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't meant for. It's a heavy-duty directional control valve, and the flow rating reflects that.
