flow rate on this one is listed at 22 LPM -- that enough for most press or machine tool setups running proportional control?

For a good chunk of press and machine tool applications, 22 litres per minute sits right in the working range for proportional directional control. It's not a high-flow valve, so if your system demands are well above that figure, you'd be looking at a different size. But for moderate-duty proportional work on those machine types, 22 LPM is a practical and commonly used rating.
