Flow rate on this thing goes up to 700 litres per minute, that enough to keep up with a high-demand press or primary metal setup running pretty hard?

For press and primary metal applications, 700 litres per minute is a serious ceiling. Most heavy industrial press circuits don't push anywhere near that, so headroom is not something you'd be short on here. The valve is specifically listed for both press and primary metal environments, so the flow capacity lines up well with what those systems typically demand.

Can this handle hydraulic fluid okay? I'm not trying to melt any seals here.
