Can this valve handle hydraulic oil without any issues?

Buna-N seals are used in this Vickers valve, which makes it compatible with a wide variety of hydraulic fluids, including hydraulic oil.

Flow rate on this one says 40 litres per minute, is that enough for a standard press circuit or would it be cutting it close?

For most press applications, 40 litres per minute is right in the working range. This valve was specifically called out for press use, so it fits that duty well. If your circuit is running near that ceiling continuously, just make sure your system design accounts for it, but for typical press work it should handle the load without being pushed to its limit.
