flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 liters per minute -- is that gonna hold up running die casting equipment or is it more suited for lighter duty stuff?

80 liters per minute is a solid flow rate for die casting applications. Vickers actually lists die casting and foundry work as one of the primary intended uses for this valve, right alongside machine tools and press equipment. So you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't built for. The Buna-N seals also help it hold up in the kind of heat and fluid exposure that comes with that environment.
