Can this handle nasty hydraulic fluid, or do I need to be careful what I run through it?

Buna-N seals provide fluid compatibility across typical hydraulic media, so it should work fine with common fluids.

We run a press line that pulls pretty hard on the hydraulic system. Does this valve hold up to that kind of continuous, high-demand work?

Press applications are actually one of the environments this valve was built around. Along with die casting, foundry equipment, and primary metal processing, heavy press duty is listed as a supported application. The flow rating of 700 litres per minute gives it enough capacity to handle high-demand circuits without being undersized for the job.
