what all industries is this valve actually built for? got a foundry and a paper mill both asking about it

Foundries and paper mills are both squarely in the wheelhouse for this valve. Vickers lists die casting and foundry work, paper mills, machine tools, press applications, primary metal processing, marine and offshore environments, test equipment, and turbine control systems as the intended application range. So yeah, both use you mentioned are covered.
