Will this here valve work okay in a hydraulic press application?

flow rate on this thing is listed at 115 liters per minute -- is that enough for press or die casting work or is it cutting it close?

For press and die casting applications, 115 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate. Both of those environments tend to involve high-force, high-cycle demand, and this valve was specifically called out for exactly those uses. As long as your system is sized to stay within that ceiling, you should be in good shape running it in either setup.
