Flow rate on this one listed at 80 liters per minute, is that enough for press or die casting work, or is it more suited to lighter duty stuff?

Eighty liters per minute puts it well within range for die casting, press applications, and primary metal processing. Those are actually listed use cases for this valve, so it's not a stretch to run it in those environments. Machine tool setups and turbine control systems are also in its wheelhouse. For most industrial hydraulic circuits in those categories, that flow capacity handles the demand without being the weak link in the system.

Reckon this valve would hold up okay in a machine shop environment, with all the coolant and whatnot?
