flow rate on this unit is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough for press and die casting setups, or is it typically on the lower end for that kind of work?

For press and die casting applications, 700 liters per minute puts this valve well into capable territory. Those environments demand high flow to keep cycle times tight and maintain consistent force, and this unit was built with exactly those conditions in mind. Die casting and foundry work are both listed as intended applications, so you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't meant for.
