Product Questions & Answers

Would this valve be alright for controlling the direction in a metal pressing application?
Question by: Tammy H on Feb 23, 2026, 6:11 AM
This Vickers directional control valve is indeed well-suited for press applications, along with primary metal processing. It’s also used in die casting, foundry work, machine tools, marine/offshore equipment, paper mills, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control systems.

flow rate on this valve is listed at 94 liters per minute, that enough for press work or is it gonna be a bottleneck?
Question by: Jerry H on May 18, 2025, 10:13 AM
For press applications, 94 liters per minute is a solid flow rate and falls well within what most industrial press setups require. Vickers lists press work as one of the primary applications for this valve, so it's built with that kind of demand in mind. Whether it becomes a bottleneck depends on your system's total flow requirements, but at 94 LPM you've got meaningful capacity to work with.
