flow rate on this one is listed at 40 liters per minute -- is that enough for most press or machine tool setups, or do folks usually need something higher for those applications?

For a good chunk of machine tool and press applications, 40 liters per minute is right in the working range. Those environments don't always demand extreme flow, especially where precision control matters more than raw volume. Die casting and turbine control work runs through this valve just fine at that rating. If your system is pushing well above 40 LPM consistently, you'd want to size up, but for moderate-duty press and tooling circuits, this fits without issue.
