flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough for press and die casting work or is it borderline for those kind of heavy duty setups?

For press and die casting applications, 700 liters per minute is a solid capacity. Both of those environments typically demand high-flow directional control, and this valve was built with exactly those use cases in mind. Die casting and press work are listed directly among the intended applications, so you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't meant for.
