flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 liters per minute -- is that enough for a press application or would it be undersized for heavier work?

For press applications, 80 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate and falls right in line with what Vickers lists as a supported use case for this valve. The DG4V-3 series is explicitly rated for press environments, so you're not pushing it outside its intended range.
