flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough for a high-volume press application or are we pushing the limits there?

For press applications, 700 liters per minute is a solid capacity. That flow rate puts it well within the range needed for most industrial press setups, and Vickers specifically lists press use as one of the intended applications for this valve. If your system is already engineered around that demand, this one should handle it without being stretched.
