Is this valve okay for like, a marine environment, you think?

flow rate on this thing says 700 liters per minute -- is that enough to run a press or primary metal application without choking out?

For press and primary metal work, 700 liters per minute is a serious amount of flow capacity. Most heavy industrial presses and metal processing systems operate well within that range, so you shouldn't run into any restriction issues on the valve side. This model was built with exactly those kinds of demanding applications in mind, which is why the flow rating is as high as it is.
