what's the flow capacity on this valve, and is 227 liters per minute enough for most mid-size hydraulic setups?

For a good chunk of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems, 227 liters per minute is plenty of headroom. That rating puts it solidly in the range of press systems, log splitters, and agricultural equipment that run moderate to heavy demand cycles. If your circuit is pushing close to or beyond that number, you'd want to size up, but for most mid-range applications it handles the load without being worked to the edge.
