We run a pretty heavy press operation and been looking at this valve for a while now. Does the flow capacity hold up for high-volume circuits or is 700 litres per minute the ceiling you'd realistically hit under load?

Seven hundred litres per minute is the rated flow capacity, so that is the upper boundary for this valve in normal circuit operation. For a press application, that puts it well within range for high-demand systems. The DG5V-10 series was built with exactly that kind of heavy industrial use in mind, and press systems are one of the listed applications, so you're not pushing the valve into territory it wasn't meant for.

Can this handle continuous operation in a machine tool setup, or is it more for intermittent use?
