Product Questions & Answers

Will this valve hold up in a machine shop environment where it's pretty much running all day long?
Question by: Vince M on Apr 28, 2025, 2:04 PM
Designed for demanding industrial jobs like you'd find in machine shops, this Vickers directional control valve is built to handle continuous operation. With its robust construction and durable Buna-N seals, you can expect it to provide reliable performance even in high-stress, all-day environments.

Flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough to handle press and die casting setups, or is it more suited to lighter machine tool work?
Question by: Marvin S on Nov 10, 2025, 6:36 AM
At 700 liters per minute, that flow capacity is well within range for heavy-duty press and die casting applications. Those environments tend to demand high-volume, reliable directional control, and this valve covers that ground. Machine tool use works just fine too, but you're not underutilizing it there, you're just running it in a less demanding duty. The valve supports three- or four-way directional control, so it can be configured to match whatever the system requires across those different setups.
