Product Questions & Answers

I’m needing a valve for a machine tool application, something that’ll hold up. Is this Vickers valve suitable for that kinda work?
Question by: Dwight M on Aug 8, 2025, 8:08 AM
For machine tool applications, this Vickers valve should do the trick. It's also commonly used in presses, primary metal, and even marine/offshore environments, so it's built to handle demanding conditions.

Flow rate on this one says 80 litres per minute, is that enough for a press or primary metal setup running pretty hard?
Question by: Ross C on Jan 26, 2026, 11:47 AM
For press and primary metal applications, 80 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. The DG4V-3 series was built with exactly those environments in mind, so the flow rating lines up well with the demands those machines typically put on a directional control valve. As long as your system isn't pushing beyond that threshold, you should be in good shape.
