got a press circuit running some pretty heavy cycles, does this valve handle high flow, or is it more of a light-duty unit?

At 380 litres per minute, this is well within the range for demanding press applications. The DG5V-7 series was built for exactly that kind of work, and press systems are one of the listed application types. It's a two-stage directional control valve, so it's not a lightweight unit by any means.
