flow rate on this valve, is 60 litres per minute the max it'll handle, or just a rated operating point?

60 litres per minute is the rated flow capacity for this valve. Running it right at the ceiling continuously isn't usually ideal for any hydraulic component, but that's the figure the product is built and tested to. For most machine tool circuits and general industrial setups, that gives you plenty of headroom to work with.

Will this thing handle continuous use in a machine tool setup, or is it more for intermittent jobs?
