flow rate on this thing goes up to 42 gallons a minute? just want to make sure before we spec it into our refuse hauler build

That's correct. Rated flow tops out at 160 liters per minute, which works out to 42 US gallons per minute. For refuse hauler applications specifically, this valve was built with that kind of work in mind, so it fits right into that use case.
