flow rate on this one is 40 LPM, that right? trying to size it up for a press circuit we're retooling and want to make sure it ain't gonna be a bottleneck

40 litres per minute is the rated flow for this valve, so for a press circuit that stays within that range it should size up fine. Just make sure your system demand peaks don't push past that threshold and you'll be in good shape.

What kind of hydraulic fluid can I run through this valve without tearing it up?

It uses Buna-N seals, so it's compatible with a wide range of hydraulic fluids.
