this Vickers valve uses Buna-N seals, which are compatible with hydraulic fluid.

flow rate on this thing is listed at 80 LPM -- that enough for a standard press circuit or is it gonna be cutting it close?

For most press applications, 80 litres per minute gives you solid working room. The valve handles three- or four-way directional control, so it fits naturally into the kind of switching circuits common in press work. Whether that flow ceiling is tight or comfortable depends on your specific system demand, but 80 LPM is a respectable rating for this class of directional control valve and not an unusual fit for press lines.
