flow rate on this valve is listed at 40 LPM -- is that enough for press applications or is it gonna be a bottleneck?

For most press setups, 40 liters per minute is a workable flow rate, especially on smaller or mid-size press circuits. Presses are actually one of the listed application types for this valve, so it's not a stretch to run it in that environment. Whether it becomes a restriction depends on what your actuator demands at peak cycle, but the valve itself is rated and positioned for that kind of work.
