flow rate on this thing goes up to 80 liters per minute -- is that enough for a typical press or die casting setup?

For most press and die casting applications, 80 liters per minute gives you solid working capacity. This valve is actually listed for both press and die casting use, so the flow rating lines up with those environments. If your system runs within that ceiling, you're in good shape.
