part number on this is KBDG5V-8-33C330N-X-M1-PE7-H1-10 but the sticker on our old valve reads 02-353789 -- are those the same unit?

Same valve, two different ways of referencing it. The model designation KBDG5V-8-33C330N-X-M1-PE7-H1-10 is the full configuration string that encodes the spool type, connector, control card, and other build options. Vickers assigned 02-353789 as the catalog part number for that exact configuration, and that's the number this unit is stocked and sold under. If your old valve shows 02-353789, this is a direct replacement.
