flow rate on this thing is listed at 330 liters per minute -- is that enough for heavy press or die casting work, or would you typically need something bigger for those applications?

For die casting and press use, 330 liters per minute is a solid flow capacity. Both of those application types are explicitly listed as fits for this valve, so you're not working against the grain using it there. Whether that ceiling is enough depends on your specific circuit demands, but the valve was built with those environments in mind and carries the flow rating to back it up.
