flow rate on this one is 300 LPM if I'm reading it right, that enough for press and die casting work or is it cutting it close?

300 liters per minute is a solid flow capacity for press and die casting applications. Those environments put real demand on directional control valves, and this one is built with exactly that kind of use in mind. It also covers machine tool, primary metal processing, and turbine control work, so the flow rating isn't some edge-of-spec situation for those industries. If your system operates within that range, you're in good shape.
