flow rate on this unit is listed at 80 LPM -- that enough for most press and machine tool setups or is it on the lower end for that kind of work?

For the majority of press and machine tool circuits, 80 litres per minute lands right in a comfortable range. Those applications rarely demand extreme flow at the valve level, and this series was built with exactly that industrial segment in mind. If your system runs closer to the upper boundary, just make sure your overall circuit design accounts for pressure drop at peak demand, but for typical machine tool and press duty, 80 LPM is a solid fit.
