flow rate on this thing is listed at 380 LPM -- that enough to handle a heavy-duty press application or is that pushing it?

For press systems, 380 litres per minute is a solid ceiling. The DG5V-7 series was built with press applications in mind, so that flow capacity lines up well with what those circuits typically demand. As long as your system stays within that rated flow, you should be in good shape for production-grade press work.
