pump's got a Q250 valve plate listed but no case-to-inlet check valve, is that gonna cause any headaches running it on a mining rig or similar heavy equipment?

For mining machinery and similar hard-running setups, the absence of a case-to-inlet check valve is an intentional design choice on this pump, not a missing feature. The Q250 valve plate works in tandem with that configuration to keep things running clean and efficient under demanding conditions. As long as your system is set up to account for that, you won't run into issues specific to that design on equipment like mining rigs, injection molding machines, or oil and gas setups, all of which this pump was built to handle.
