flow rate on this valve is listed at 700 litres per minute -- is that enough for press and die casting work or is it usually undersized for those kind of setups?

For press and die casting applications, 700 litres per minute is a solid flow capacity. Both of those use cases are explicitly listed among the intended applications for this valve, so it's built with those flow demands in mind. Whether it fits your specific circuit depends on your system design, but the rating itself is not a limiting factor for typical press or die casting duty.
