What's the story on the seals? Are they okay for tougher environments?

Fluorocarbon seals are used in this Vickers valve, so it holds up pretty well in harsher conditions, including marine, offshore, and primary metal industries.

flow rate on this valve is listed at 13 LPM -- that gonna hold up runnin it on a press or machine tool setup?

For press and machine tool applications, 13 liters per minute is right in the working range this valve is built around. It handles both of those environments directly, along with die casting, turbine control, and a few others. The fluorocarbon seals help it hold up under the kind of conditions those setups throw at it, so you're not looking at a valve that's just barely rated for the job.
