flow rate on this valve is listed at 40 liters per minute -- is that enough for press and die casting work or is it gonna be a bottleneck?

For most press and die casting setups, 40 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate. Vickers built this valve specifically with those applications in mind, so it's not just a generic fit. Die casting and press use were called out directly as intended uses, which means the flow capacity was matched to those duty demands. If your system is running well within that ceiling, you're in good shape.

What kind of fluid is okay to run through this thing?
