Flow rate on this one says 227 liters per minute, is that enough for most mid-size hydraulic circuits or is this valve more on the lighter side of things?

For a lot of mid-size industrial hydraulic setups, 227 liters per minute is plenty. That puts it well within the working range for systems that need reliable pressure relief or regulation without going to a larger valve class. If your circuit runs somewhere under that ceiling, this valve handles it without issue. It's when you're pushing past that threshold where you'd need to size up.
