flow rate on this thing tops out at 40 LPM -- that work alright for press applications or is it gonna be a bottleneck?

For press work, 40 litres per minute is a solid ceiling for this valve and fits well within the DG4V-3 series design intent. Press equipment is one of the listed application areas, so it lines up. Just make sure your circuit demands don't push past that 40 LPM mark under peak load conditions, and you should be in good shape.

This Vickers directional control valve is well-suited for machine tool applications, as well as presses, primary metal and paper processing, and even marine or offshore uses.
