Been running a skid steer loader for years and looking to swap out the hydraulic pump. This a piston pump setup or something else?

Open circuit piston pump is exactly what it is. The PVE21 runs on a piston design, which is what most skid steer loaders call for in that application. The aluminum housing keeps the weight down, which matters when you're already dealing with a tight machine layout. It's built under the Vickers name, part of the Danfoss/Eaton PVE series, so sourcing parts and finding familiarity with it shouldn't be a headache if you've been in that world for a while.
