got a PVQ32 pump on a piece of equipment, is this the same PVQ series open circuit piston pump or something different?
Question by: Ray R on Jan 30, 2026, 10:18 AM
Part of the answer is in the name. It is an Eaton Vickers PVQ Series open circuit piston pump, and the specific configuration is identified by the full code PVQ32 B2R SE1S 21 CM7 12.

What kind of machines is this pump actually built for? Got a conveyor line and a metal forming press both needin a new pump and tryin to figure out if one unit covers both.
Question by: Wade C on Nov 26, 2025, 4:52 PM
Conveyor lines and metal forming machines are both listed applications for this pump, so you're in reasonable territory with that question. The PVQ32 from Eaton Vickers is an open circuit piston pump that was put together with industrial workhorse applications in mind, including primary metals, injection molding, and oil and gas equipment on top of what you mentioned. Whether one unit can serve both machines at once depends on your system layout, but for fit of application type, both of those uses fall within its intended range.
