flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute -- that enough for press work or high-demand die casting setups?

For press and die casting applications, 700 liters per minute is a solid ceiling. Those environments can push high flow demands, and this valve was built with exactly that kind of industrial use in mind. As long as your system is sized to operate within that limit, you should be in good shape for either application.
