flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough to handle a press or die casting setup without the valve becoming a bottleneck?

For die casting and press applications, 700 liters per minute is a substantial capacity. Most industrial press and die casting circuits don't come anywhere close to demanding that kind of flow through a single directional valve, so in the vast majority of setups, this valve won't be your limiting factor. The Vickers DG5V 8 series was built specifically with those environments in mind, so the flow rating lines up well with what those applications actually push through.
