flow rate on this valve is listed at 115 liters per minute -- is that enough for most press and die casting setups, or is it on the lower end for that kind of work?

For die casting and press applications, 115 liters per minute is a solid mid-range flow capacity. It covers a wide variety of those setups without being overkill. Where you might run into limits is on larger high-tonnage presses that demand significantly higher flow, but for standard industrial press work and die casting cycles, this valve fits right in.
