Product Questions & Answers

Reckon this here directional control valve would hold up okay in a marine environment?
Question by: Travis K on Jan 16, 2026, 6:41 PM
Designed for use in marine and offshore environments, this Vickers valve should handle those conditions well. It's also suitable for other applications like die casting, machine tools, and even turbine control.

valve's rated for 115 liters a minute flow, but what kind of systems is it actually built for? like what industries use these things day to day?
Question by: Roger S on May 14, 2025, 1:23 PM
Pretty wide range, honestly. These Vickers DG4V valves show up in die casting and foundry use, paper mills, press systems, and primary metal processing. Marine and offshore setups use them too, along with test equipment and simulation rigs. Turbine control is another one, covering wind, steam, and water turbine applications. If you're running machine tools, it fits there as well. The flow rating of 115 liters per minute lines up with the demands those kinds of systems put on directional control valves.
