flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 litres per minute, is that enough for press or die casting setups that run pretty hard?

For press and die casting applications, 700 litres per minute is a substantial capacity. Both of those industries are explicitly listed among the intended applications for this valve, so it's built with those kinds of demanding cycles in mind. Whether that ceiling fits your specific circuit depends on your system's actual flow demands, but the valve isn't a lightweight option by any stretch.
