flow rate on this valve is listed at 40 LPM -- that enough for a standard press application or should i be lookin at something bigger?

For most press setups, 40 liters per minute is right in the working range. That figure covers a solid share of mid-size press circuits without issue. If your system demands are pushing beyond that threshold, you'd want to size up, but for typical press work this valve handles the load without being stretched thin.
